So it seems dA officially dug its own grave. I'm not just talking about the fact that they took down my wallpapers a year ago, I'm talking about 's OWN render being taken down recently. He rigged the model himself, rendered it himself, uploaded it and gave credit for the actual model to Nintendo. Apparently some asshat reported it for "art theft" and dA took it down.

About a week ago, I reported [link] (warning: even though it's 3D it's still disturbing) but that report was ~invalid~ because they think that's OK to have uploaded here. And that's just a single example out of all the crap that's being uploaded nowadays.

What the hell, dA? You accept THAT but consider a harmless render of a videogame model (which was credited) as art theft? A line needs to be drawn. Period. You can't possibly accept something as disturbing as said example, yet take down someone's own art because some idiot reported it as stolen (which it isn't, obviously). If it wasn't credited and claimed as if the model was owned 100% by him, OK, fair enough. But it was credited, that's the whole point. How can that be considered stolen art?

Not to mention all the MySpace pics and ~look at how I pissed myself last night~ photos, ofcourse taken with a phone's crappy camera-feature. This is supposed to be deviantART. ART. What's left of that now? I understand art is subjective, but most of the time it's very clear to distinguish what's art and what's not, especially here on dA.

In the 5 years that I've been a member, I've seen this place going to hell. I'm only staying for viewing and favoriting others' actual art and I guess I'll just suck up dA's double standards whenever I see someone else getting screwed over nothing. Don't expect any art being uploaded here by me.
